Jenna earned a MA in Sociology from Colorado State University, a MA in Sociology of Religion and a PhD in Sociology from Baylor University.
Jenna's research focuses on how cultural experiences and values impact individuals' decisions and outcomes. In particular she has focused on female entrepreneurs and how cultural expectations and values around family and work shape their businesses and how this varies from male owned businesses.
In her current role, Jenna will be working to identify and test critical elements in the research mentoring relationship that promote positive outcomes for culturally diverse mentees. In particular she will be working to understand how cultural diversity awareness impacts the mentoring relationship. Jenna will also be examining the dissemination and implementation of mentoring curricula and its effectiveness.
